2025 O'ahu Neighborhood Board Survey

Aloha,
The Neighborhood Boards on Oahu were created by law more than 50 years ago. The purpose of the Neighborhood Board system is to provide the public with the opportunity to speak with and provide input to their local government.

Currently, there are 33 Neighborhood Boards across the island that meet monthly. At these meetings, citizens can hear from elected officials on the actions of their government and provide input on issues they feel are important to their community.

Neighborhood Board members are elected in every odd numbered year by the community they live in and serve two-year terms. It is a volunteer position and the boards do not create laws or have any regulatory authority; they are purely advisory.

By taking this survey, you will help in several ways including giving us a better understanding of what issues you believe are important to your community, what you think about the boards and their importance and the best way to communicate with your neighbors.

Mahalo for taking this survey.

Please take this opportunity to make your voice heard!
